MSD has led the automotive world in performance ignitions for over 40 years and now they are rewriting another industry standard. Using current aftermarket options to convert a vehicle to EFI can be difficult and time consuming but with the all new Atomic EFI, all that is going to change. Atomic EFI is a throttle body kit designed to update old engines with outdated carburetors to a fuel injection system with all of the modern benefits of EFI.
Winner of the SEMA 2011 Best New Product Award, the Atomic EFI was designed for the car guy. It can be installed by anyone with access to basic tools and a car with a four-barrel carb. No laptop is required and the owner doesn’t need to understand how to tune a fuel map because it’s already done for them. Instead of having countless sensors that have to be installed on the engine, MSD incorporated the TPS, MAP, IAT, and more right in the throttle body so the user never has to worry about them.
The best part of the Atomic EFI system is the returnless fuel feature. MSD uses pulse width modulation technology to control the fuel pump so that you only need one line. This means most users can keep their existing fuel tank pickup and never have to modify the gas tank. A small external Power Module is used for the fuel pump and fans, but MSD implemented CAN-Bus technology keeps wiring to a minimum.
The Spectrum 375 and 625 X-Treme plasma cutters released by Miller Electric Mfg. Co. have been re-engineered and are packed with new technology that delivers even more power in the same highly portable packages. Combined with an all-new XT torch designed to fit more comfortably in the hands of the user, consumers will experience the ultimate combination of power, precision and portability.
The Miller XT torch features an ergonomic design that includes a unique thumb guide, finger grip contours and a no-slip grip for easy control and torch dexterity. The 80-degree handle provides natural arm and elbow positioning while cutting and an exclusive flexible cable with improved bend radius and flexibility increases comfort.
The Miller XT Plasma torches are also designed to reduce total cost of ownership by making consumables last longer. The new electrode provides concentricity, smooth movement, better cutting performance, and increased life. A robust tip lasts longer and optimizes arc performance. The industry’s only true 30-amp drag shield also increases tip life and simplifies template cutting. By converting to the deflector and holding a 1⁄16-inch stand-off, users will have good arc visibility while cutting with no additional consumables to change. The retaining cup’s quick turn feature offers ease and convenience when time to change consumables.
