The rotating assembly for the 331 was completely balanced at Speed-O-Motive and the stock rods were reamed with new bushings to accept the "palm push" fit, full floating wristpins. They're retained by a pair of snap rings that should be located with the opening vertically and not to the side where the reciprocating motion of the piston may cause them to move.
