Route the kickdown housing and cable up to the adjuster. Next, slide the cable through the cable slide fitting and install the cable stop by sliding it over the cable and up to the slide fitting. (Arrow indicates cable stop.) From there, install the throttle return springs to the carburetor mounting bracket and throttle arm. To adjust the kickdown cable, hold the throttle wide open and slide the cable stop up to the cable slide and tighten the set screw. When things are properly adjusted the throttle should be held at wide open with no slack in the kickdown cable. View Related Article
