I'm going to build the front section of the pipe first, starting at the bottom. I decided to run the pipes up the back of the cab, between it and the bed stake pocket to cover that little bit of dead space that exists there. I marked the hole to be cut in the running board which will allow the exhaust to exit from under the chassis and up and across the bedside before opening it up with a 2-inch hole saw. That will give me a 3/16-inch gap between the pipe and the running board; perfect for a thin grommet. View Related Article
