Vintage Air provided the necessary... Vintage Air provided the necessary wiring harness and relays to wire the controls to the evaporator and other items. The Mode control switch communicates... The Mode control switch communicates with the evaporator to tell it what mode to switch to (floor, bi-level, defrost, etc.). The A/C thermostat control... The A/C thermostat control switch is wired first to the binary switch... ...and then to the compressor... ...and then to the compressor via the A/C clutch, which controls when the clutch cycles on/off. The heater control switch... The heater control switch wires directly to the control module in the evaporator which is then connected to the heater valve servo. The yellow/red/orange connector... Here are three different vents... Here are three different vents offered by Vintage Air. The left is a direct flow defrost duct, while the other two are underdash louvers. Here's the passenger side... Here's the passenger side vent mounted under the dash in the operating position... ... and tucked away for a... ... and tucked away for a more "period" look. It's attached via a hinge... It's attached via a hinge to the bottom of the dash and is held in an upright state using a cupboard magnet when not in use, allowing a hide-away state. It connects to the right side... It connects to the right side outlet of the evaporator. Be sure to stretch the flexible duct hose and route it as smoothly and directly as possible to get maximum airflow. The driver side vent mounts... The driver side vent mounts in the same way as the passenger side while the center outlet is somewhat unique. We used the stock heater box and fed it through the top to allow for a center outlet with two floor outlets as well. Check out the December 2009 issue of Street Rodder magazine for all the details.
