If you're looking for period-correct seatbelts for your classic truck, check out these early GM-style Starburst belts from Juliano's. Diamond Pistons announces the release of its direct replacement forged piston for Chevrolet Vortec 8.1L (496ci) big-block truck and marine engine applications. Unlike the GM piston, which is a cast-aluminum hypereutectic construction, the Diamond offering is a forging with side reliefs that accommodate a shorter, lighter piston pin which results in increase stability under high load. The forging is hewn from 4032 alloy, weighs 515 grams, and incorporates a single 0.107-inch-deep pocket for the 2.19-inch diameter intake valve. Like the factory casting, the new Diamond forging retains a 9.1:1 compression ratio and the standard ring pack. Premium 8620 case-hardened chrome molybdenum wristpins are supplied and optional 9310 endurance alloy pins or H13 Tool Steel pins are also available. Diamond forged pistons are amenable to standard-grade gasoline and are a great platform for a nominal shot of NOS or a low-boost forced-air induction system.

Designed to provide maximum ignition performance and easy installation all at a price you can afford, this Flame-Thrower distributor allows you to upgrade your outdated points or worn-out aftermarket components with a performance proven distributor. Featuring the patented Ignitor II electronic ignition module and a CNC-machined 6061 T-6 polished billet housing, the two wire hookup is as simple as they come with no external components required. The PerTronix electronics are also compatible with any inductive ignition system coil, but high-rpm performance can be improved when used with their low-resistant (0.6 ohm) Flame-Thrower II coil. The PerTronix distributor is also compatible with multi-spark CD ignition boxes. Additional features include a tempered 0.500-inch diameter shaft with low torsion displacement; an upper ball bearing and lower self-lubricating oil-impregnated copper powder metal bushing and a durable, machined, heat-treated gear. The distributors come with a factory set performance curve, a mechanical advance limiting adjustment, and small-diameter, high-dielectric strength cap and rotor for installations with a tight firewall clearance.
