...It mounts up against the front of the door. Instead of holding it in place with screws, Keith tacked it to the door.

Next, the rear channel was...

Next, the rear channel was dropped into place.

Because everything besides...

Because everything besides the width is the same, Keith could install the rear channel by simply bolting it in.

The new power window regulators...

The new power window regulators take a little more effort to mount than the stock units. In the Electric-Life instructions they pinpoint measurements where holes need to be drilled in order to mount the regulators. On the driver side, Keith followed the instructions. However, for the passenger side he made a template of the mounting holes on the driver side and transferred it to the passenger side. It's the little things that keep us sane!

The regulators were then dropped...

The regulators were then dropped in and mounted up.

The same went for installing...

The same went for installing the electric GM splined switch...

...Keith made a pattern and...

...Keith made a pattern and then transferred it. From there, the switch was bolted in.

The cool thing about this...

The cool thing about this kit from Electric-Life is that no one can tell the truck has power windows. The switch is designed to accept the stock window crank handle. By simply pressing up on the handle the window rolls up. Press down on the handle and the window is headed down.

Before the window is dropped...

Before the window is dropped in, the inner doorframe is removed and the new window molding is installed.

Next, the window is dropped...

Next, the window is dropped in place and set in the regulators.

Lastly, the regulator is hooked...

Lastly, the regulator is hooked up to a 12-volt source and tested. As Porky would say: "A bleep bleep bleep, that's all folks." (It sounds right in my head.)
