Thanks to Miller's Auto-Line and MYP plugs, switching to 220 volts is easily done by changing plugs. Auto-Line means the 375 X-Treme automatically senses line voltage and adjusts. | The air pressure supplied to the 375 X-Treme should be set between 90 and 110 psi. | This blue plastic box holds new tips, electrodes, swirl rings, etc. |
With hoses and lines running every which way, we aid special attention to ensuring the ICE- 27T torch was hung (placed) in a protective manner. | Holding the ICE-27T torch in one hand and a camera in the other while cutting was not all that hard. This was one of our very first attempts before we mastered holding the torch 1/8-inch above the surface. | As a guide, we used a piece of flat strap to pull straighter cuts. With a little bit of practice and a marked line to follow, it's likely our freehand cuts would have improved at a rapid rate. |
Our first attempt at cutting a piece out went real well. Without a plasma cutter to pierce a starting point, dropping this section out would have been a lot more work. | A distinct advantage plasma has over an oxy-fuel torch is controlling the heat zone, which allows you to cut light-gauge sheetmetal without warping. | An easy trick to cut out a hole for the gas filler in this homemade motorcycle tank was to find a washer and use it as a guide. |
