Once the patch is fully welded in with no gaps or pinholes, grind the weld down with a grinder. At this point, check the weld to make sure it is solid all the way around, because if it's not, moisture will seep in from behind and corrode the filler and paint. Also, be sure to clean off any residue left behind as well. The Eastwood stripping wheels work great for that as well. View Related Article
