Use both hands to steady the gun in a comfortable position. Maintain the 10-degree gun angle and start welding with a small back and forth motion. The rate of your travel speed influences the weld bead's shape and quality to a significant degree. Keep the arc on the leading edge of the puddle; don't let the molten metal get ahead of you.
