We cut along the lines and tack welded...

...the top and bottom pieces back together.

So we wouldn't warp the sheetmetal from excessive heat, we welded a little bit at a time until we were finished.

Notice the new and improved side profile...

With all the bodywork complete, the stylish hood's ready for final blocking and paint.

If the rest of the truck were in the same condition, we'd be all good. Someday soon, we hope.
