We had the oil pump installed before it occurred to us the LT1 and LT4 don't have a distributor like a conventional small-block Chevy. Instead, the LT1/LT4 uses this plastic oil-pump drive unit, which sits where a distributor normally goes. Just slip it into the cam gear and run the bolt down using Loctite 242. View Related Article
