The water-pump drive gear should be replaced during any LT1 rebuild because the seal wears a groove in the shaft, which will cause oil leakage with the new seal. This is an expensive item available only from your GM dealer. Retail is approximately $150. Good guy price (cost) is around $95. View Related Article
