The control panel is somewhat easier than an arc welder or gas rig. There's one on/off switch and knobs for heat setting and wire-feed speed. If you're not really melting the joint or blowing holes, turn the heat up or down. If your bead is piling up, requiring excess grinding, turn the wire speed down.
