 32. With the ART-supplied... 32. With the ART-supplied fasteners, Tony installed the Viair 400cc air compressor after he cleaned and painted the compressor plate. He could have installed the compressor on a convenient section of the frame, but decided this location would be optimal in terms of aesthetics and function. | 33. Tony prepared the ART... 33. Tony prepared the ART Big Red Max air valve assembly. The Big Red Max air valve assembly has two valves for each wheel -- an intake valve and an exhaust valve. The assembly has O-rings between each set of valves to allow the assembly to be installed as one unit or separated for installation at each wheel. He applied Teflon tape to every air fitting to prevent leakage. | 34. Tony drilled pilot holes... 34. Tony drilled pilot holes into a wood template and located the holes for the Big Red Max air valve assembly mounting plate that was welded in place in photo 25. |
 35. The Phase II technician... 35. The Phase II technician bolted the ART Big Red Max air valve assembly into place with self-tapping bolts. As indicated, the air delivery side of the valves was visible. The other side was used for installing the gauge lines. The black wires collected into one and attached to the air valve assembly plate are ground wires. On the gauge side, four more ground wires were collected into one and grounded to the metal plate. | 36. Next, the ART gas rear... 36. Next, the ART gas rear shock absorbers were installed. | 37. Tony installed the four... 37. Tony installed the four switches directly behind the frame-mounted air tanks. |
 38. Because Tony installed... 38. Because Tony installed all the ART components and attached all the air lines -- as per the comprehensive ART instructions -- he began to wire the installation. In this photo, he put one of the supplied wiring looms in the conduit and wrapped electrical tape around the conduit. Next, Tony fed the wire-filled conduit into the framerails and finished wiring the system. | 39. From the right side of... 39. From the right side of truck to left side, the switches and the Viair 400cc compressor is in view. Above these components, the two 3-gallon air tanks have been installed and plumbed. The rear suspension with the new ART airbags and ART gas shocks can also be seen. | 40. Owner Rogalski intends... 40. Owner Rogalski intends to install the ART control panel between a split bench seat at a later date. Phase II's technician temporarily taped the ART control panel to the dashboard with two-sided tape. Tony programmed the supplied ART remotes. After a testdrive, he determined the best ride setting was 90 pounds of air pressure for the front wheels and 60 pounds of air pressure for the rear wheels. |
 41. With the Air Ride Technologies... 41. With the Air Ride Technologies 'bags deflated, Dana's truck has a show-'n'-shine-worthy stance. Phase II Autotrends' custom installation of the ART system encompassed four days. One telling sign of a first-class automotive installation shop is how well organized and neat the shop is. In that regard, this photo speaks volumes. | | |
