In the past, a lot of the automotive magazines aimed at a female audience have been lightweight reads about with tech stories on how to change the oil or fix a flat. In many cases, those magazines were published by men trying to predict what would appeal to women. There’s nothing wrong with that, except that a lot of the women we know want something that really reflects the perspective of the serious-about-her-hobby, hands-on female enthusiast.

For that, there’s Throttle Gals Magazine. Throttle Gals is for and about women in the automotive world. The content covers trucks as well as hot rods, customs, motorcycles, race cars, off-road vehicles, you name it—and includes feature stories, event coverage, and do-it-yourself tech articles. Although as guys, we’re not the audience they’re after, we were impressed. Doni Langdon is the owner/publisher. Doni also writes many of the articles, handles the design, and coordinates the advertising for the quarterly magazine. Since she’s just getting started, Doni would like to hear from readers with ideas, comments, and suggestions about what they would like to see in the magazine.

The digital version of Throttle Gals is online at www.throttlegals.com. The print version is available through the website, or at various rod shops and selected events. See the website for specifics.
