Fully Loaded '56 GMC
David Latshaw's '56 GMC is indeed a rare breed. Purchased from the original owner in Canoga Park, California, back in 1994, David was told that it was one of only a few Deluxe cabs built with every available option offered. Powered by a 336ci V-8 backed by a four-speed Hydramatic transmission, the truck also features power steering, a front sway bar, and dual gas tanks. A side-mounted spare, full gauge set, dual outside mirrors, armrests, and sunvisors wrap up the factory options.
Restored over the course of 16 years, David performed a full frame-off resto using the original hardware, down to the last nut, bolt, and clip. David bought a spare '56 Jimmy to salvage missing parts from for his project truck. Once the restoration was complete, the resulting spare pickup was painted red and placed in front of the hotel he and his wife run in Lake Tahoe: the Fireside Lodge. Adorned with the hotel's logo on the doors and a flower-filled bed planted by his wife every summer, David's GMC is a sure hit for all the travelers who frequent the area.

Traditional prints are also acceptable and should be sent to: CCT, c/o Readers' Trucks, 1733 Alton Parkway, Irvine, CA 92606.
