While the truck was disassembled, Larry and Lewis fitted the doors with power windows and locks, and installed the Vintage Air A/C system. The inside of Larry's pickup is certainly tidy with its tan leather and bright-red dash, which retains its original trim. DJ's Upholstery in Bowling Green handled the stitchwork, wrapping the late-model bucket seats and custom interior panels. A chrome tilt steering column adds a little more flash to the interior, while a Dakota Digital dash displays the engine's vital signs.
Larry is quite comfortable behind the wheel, especially when he considers just how smooth the truck drives, and we can't forget about the dependability factor. Brothers, Larry and Lewis Walker did a great job with the buildup on this '53 Chevy, but the efforts of Ivan Turner, Davis & Son's Body Shop, and DJ's Upholstery don't go unnoticed. Clean lines mix with flawless details to create a killer truck that hits the highway in fine form. As we all know, it's the simple things in life that provide the most joy, and Larry's pickup certainly qualifies.
