Just like the exterior of the Studebaker, the interior of the '61 exemplifies nothing but class, thanks to James Carter at Bitchen Stitchen in Springdale, Arkansas. James kick-started things by covering the Glide seat in red leather. From there, the custom door panels and center console were also wrapped in red leather. Resting inside the dash, center console, and door panels are strategically placed inserts of turned aluminum. Lastly, the dash was wrapped in gray leather. Back at the ranch Gil installed the TPI instruments and the Vintage Air Gen II A/C system. Allowing the Champ to rock down the highway is an Alpine head unit wired to booming Kicker speakers. After 29 years stashed in the midst of scrap, the Champ is once again atop its game.
