While on an ATV trip in the west desert of Utah, Ken Fredrickson came across this '39 Chevy. "I believe this area is called Death Canyon. It's in an old mining camp, with the closest town being an Army base called the Dugway Proving Grounds-followed by the small farming community of Vernon, Utah."
Ken went on to relate that this Chevy is located within the mountains that separate those two towns. Ken said that it was kind of hard to make out what was painted on the doors, but he believed it read: "Lucky Auto Garage, Auto Parts and Tires, and Towing." Not that it has anything to do with this '39 Chevy, but it is interesting to note that the Dugway Proving Grounds were at one time a major test-bed for chemical warfare experiments.
