1929 Ford Model A Pickup - Somethin' To Do

 To photograph the '29 from...  To photograph the '29 from this high perspective, we climbed atop a church annex building. Hopefully we won't be damned for doing so. There was a ladder leaning against the structure, so we figured there was some divine intervention at work. The taillights and brake lights came from a Chevy Blazer.  From the hills of West Virginia...  From the hills of West Virginia came the hand-hewn oak wood planks that comprise the bed floor thanks to the owner's handiwork. He obtained the stainless stringers from Snyder's Antique Auto Parts in Youngstown, Ohio.  Repop halogen headlights illuminate...  Repop halogen headlights illuminate the road ahead, while '32 Ford-style cowl lamps have LED innards. The owner formed the hood from fiberglass and replaced the stock side mount steel fenders with aftermarket smooth items, also made from 'glass.  With a modified Jaguar independent...  With a modified Jaguar independent rear suspension in the mix, this roadster pickup can hold onto the road whether going through the twisty bits or in a straight line. To cover the tires' wide radial rubber footprint, Clark spliced in 3 inches to the stock steel rear fenders.  At each end BFGoodrich T/A...  At each end BFGoodrich T/A radials wrap American Racing Torq-Thrust IIs, 17-inch-diameter wheels in the front and 20-inch ones in the back.  To remove the 1 inch weatherstrip...  To remove the 1 inch weatherstrip at the base of the windshield, the owner chopped the windscreen stanchions 1 inch. A LeBarron and Bonney convertible top covers the roadster pickup's cab. Notice also the fuel filler for the custom-fabricated aluminum fuel tank beneath the bed floor.  If you have a family and own...  If you have a family and own a minivan, this Dodge middle seat may be familiar to you. Black wool carpet and matching gray vinyl cover the door panels.
