1972 Chevy Shortbed Engine
Boasting 425 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm, the Chevy ZZ 383 crate engine's as healthy as it looks. Connie and his son Rick modified the powerplant and made it pristine, with custom ball-milled Billet Specialties valve covers and an air cleaner. Sanderson headers and Flowmaster ball-milled mufflers comprise the custom exhaust system.

1972 Chevy Shortbed Truck Bed

Stained walnut, 21 coats of marine varnish were applied to the wood, with much sanding between coats to achieve a smooth shine. Connie and Rick shaved and smoothed the bed and filled the bed stake holes and side marker openings. Though they appear stock, the wheel tubs were widened to 11 inches.
