At the extreme northern end of California's Highway One is a wide spot in the road called Hale's Grove. In its heyday it was a thriving lumber-mill town and logging camp. The mill is long gone, most of the buildings are abandoned, and the local Bar & Grill has been forgotten by a faster-paced world more intent on the destination than the journey. On the north side of the highway sits this Tri-Five Jimmy next to an old loggers' cabin. Hundreds of cars pass by, but I doubt more than a few notice this scene.
