Editor's Note: Getting your truck into Readers' Trucks is a snap, of the camera, that is. All it takes is a couple of good-quality photos of your ride that are in focus and well lit. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we regret that we cannot return photographs. Please shoot and send photos of your truck only (no people, pets, Polaroids, or printouts) to: CCT, Readers' Trucks, 774 S. Placentia Ave., Placentia, CA 92870. It is important that you include a detailed description of the modifications you have made to your truck, including any interesting stories behind it.

Awesome Vintage Chevy
Darrell Hart of Boardman, Oregon, is building a '38 Chevy pickup with the help of longtime friend, Alfred Scott. They fabricated a custom box and cut down a '72 GMC tailgate. The engine's a balanced and blueprinted 267ci Chevy V-8 with 307 heads, backed by a TH350 and a Nova differential with 3.36:1 gears. Lorre Hart, who kindly sent us the photos, will be trimming the interior soon. We can't wait to see the Chevy all finished!
Worth a Thousand Words
Pauline Reyna of Porterville, California, mailed CCT some photos of the Reynas' '55 Ford F-100. Her husband Raul built and owns the battleship-gray beauty. A GM small block V-8 powers the billet-rolling stock-clad pickup. We'd write more, but we prefer to let the photo do all the talking, especially since no further details were included in the letter (oops!).
Shades of Gray
Clifton, Arizona's Anthony Foster greatly improved his '51 Chevy 1/2-ton by replacing the straight-six with a 327ci V-8. While he was at it, he replaced all the chrome and improved the pickup's rolling stock. The Chevy has a subtle sleeper look to her, right up until Anthony mashes the accelerator pedal.
