Subscriber Terry Aschenbrenner of Humboldt, Arizona, recently visited the Gold King Mine and Ghost Town in Jerome, Arizona. Owned by Don and Ginger Robertson, the turn-of-the-century ghost town offers: over 100 antique trucks, a blacksmith shop, a walk-in mine, antique gas engines, a working sawmill, many exhibits, and a gift shop. Terry sent us three great photos he took, including this '51 or '52 Ford F-3 or F-5.
Perhaps there's no gold "in them there hills," but there are plenty of potentially prize-worthy pickups weathering away on top of those hills. We wonder whether we could wrest away one of those rusty haulers from the Robertsons. Hmmm? Who's up for a road trip to the Gold King Mine and Ghost Town?
