1940 Ford Pickup - Kustoms' Koncoction

Not only did Southwest Florida Rod & Custom build the Ford 351ci small-block V-8, they fabricated the tubular exhaust headers. The Johnson's Hot Rods air cleaner was painted to match the truck's exterior.

With a Lokar Nostalgic shifter, the Ford AOD transmission shifts as smooth as not-from-concentrate Florida orange juice waterfalls down your throat. Custom-cut gray wool carpet covers the cab floor, while a melon leather-trimmed handmade floor console keeps the citrus theme going strong.

SFR&K's expert trimmer, Joe Ruelle, appointed the Glide Engineering seat in gray- and melon-dyed leather.

A gray leather-wrapped billet steering wheel, the Colorado Custom Classic model, fits perfectly in the fabulous '40 Ford pickup interior.

If you look closely, you can see the website address for SFR&K in the rear window. No rolling business card should be without one.

Within the custom overhead console are Jeff Phipps' door handles, a dome light, two additional gauges, and the rearview mirror.

Lighting a path ahead are '97 Mercedes E320s.

At the front of the bed is the Air Ride Technologies compressor and air tank. The RCI fuel cell is also evident.

The front wheels are 15x5-inch ET Gassers. They're shod with Dunlop high-performance radials.
