Classic Ford Addicts Gather at the 30th Annual F-100 Western Nationals Presented by Pickups Limited
Any way you slice it, 30 years is a long time to keep an event going and the crew from Pickups Limited Orange County hit their 30-year anniversary for the F-100 Western Nationals in 2012. With an impressive gathering of painted, polished, and ground-hugging Ford pickups, walking the grounds of Featherly Park was enough to overload any classic truck fanatic’s senses. From dropped patina-style cruisers and original resto haulers to full-blown custom show trucks, the F-100 Western Nationals has always offered camshaft-thumping eye candy to all different types of enthusiasts.
With a bunch of vendors on hand, strolling vendor row had a lot to offer for those turning the screws on a project. Sponsors included LMC Truck, Bruce Horkey’s Wood & Parts, Dan Carpenter Specialties, and TCI Engineering, with special recognition given to Pickups Limited members Gary Ewing, who started the show, Bill Lee, who kept the show going when it relocated from Arizona to California, and Dale Beverley, who has attended 29 of the 30 Western Nationals events.
