A Pete pulling a polished reefer, it almost sounds like some kind of slang. Manuel Andrade rolled in his '65 Peterbilt on Peterbilt air-ride with a Fuller 13 speed pulling a fully-polished stainless '62 Freuhauf.
Sponsored by Fremont Chevrolet, The All American Truck Show for 2009 was held on May 2nd at Kennedy Park in Union City, California. Although the event is hosted by the Northern California Chevy GMC Truck Club, every American brand of truck from slammed mini-trucks to semi rigs pulling doubles is welcome. According to their website: "We are a friendship organization founded to promote the restoration, preservation and customization of classic Chevy and GMC Pickups, Suburbans, Sedan Deliveries, Canopy Express and El Caminos."
Even with inclement weather forecasted several days prior to the show, and rain appearing first thing in the morning, 132 show-quality trucks rolled in to wow the crowd. The All American Truck Show benefits the Union City Police Officers Association (POA) scholarship program. The Union City POA supports community programs with financial aid including two scholarships through the New Haven School District and during the holiday season the Union City POA provides gifts to folks in need.
