Where there's a will, there's a way we stand by? Simple, because whatever can be packed into the Carlisle fairgrounds is, and was, squeezed in there like a fat guy in a little coat, and we tackled it all.

Over the August 3-6 weekend we made the cross-country journey to the small Pennsylvania town of Carlisle to absorb all that the weekend had to offer, and to be quite frank, there was a lot. When the title of the show is the All-Truck Nationals, nothing is spared. The grounds are packed with classic trucks, late-model trucks, four-wheel-drive trucks, novelty trucks, rock-climbing trucks, monster trucks, toy trucks, semitrucks, and even skateboard trucks! All right, that last one might be pushin' the envelope, but nonetheless, if it's a truck, it was there.

What absolutely blew our minds was the semitruck show. There must have been more than 100 semitrucks decked out like our style of trucks here at CCT. We're talking custom paint, chrome undercarriages, custom interiors-the works. It was the gnarliest thing we'd seen in a while.

And if the trucks weren't enough to hold ya over, then the extracurricular activities-such as the Miss Carlisle pageant, drag your truck contest, hi-low contest, audio contest, monster truck show, Trick My Truck cast autograph session, rock climbing demonstration, eating competition, and more-throughout the 82 acres of grounds kept your sprit, mind, and mostly body on the move all day. The grounds even came complete with a swap meet, on-site bank financing, notary and title service, and a food court with what must have been a dozen food choices!

After all that, we think it's pretty obvious why our motto was, "Where there's a will, there's a way," because it took everything we had to jettison here, there, over there, back to here, and beyond. But in the end, we think it's safe to say we soaked Carlisle up like a sponge.
