Our coverage of the Texas Heat Wave Show deviates from our traditional show coverage in the sense that the median age of its participants is much younger than Custom Classic Trucks' median age of 49 years old.
Every once in a while, someone will ask us what we think the future of our beloved old haulers will be, whether or not future generations will pick up the torch and continue the hobby. Well, one look at the customized classic trucks at Heat Wave definitely reveals that a lot of these guys certainly picked up a cutting torch and weren't real shy when it came time to cut. But that's the good thing about the Texas Heat Wave show-it doesn't matter if your truck has '80s heartbeat graphics and white-lettered tires or bling-bling wheels mixed with dummy teardrop spotlights and a bunch of chrome-plated gee-gaws, everyone is welcome at Heat Wave.
So let's not use up anymore valuable space writing words when we can show pictures of customized classic trucks. For information about next year's show, check out www.heatwaveinc.com.
