Inaugural Hot Rod Trucks Show - The First Time Was Charming

 Perhaps you attended the 2005...  Perhaps you attended the 2005 Detroit Autorama at Cobo Hall. If so, you likely recognize the Lamborghini Ice Blue '29 Ford Model A roadster pickup owned by Janis and Gary Brigham of Kennesaw, GA. The A premiered at the 2005 Autorama. It earned a check for $500 and a billet trophy for Best Engine at the HotRod Trucks Show.  Known by vintage custom truck...  Known by vintage custom truck lovers and the pickup's proprietors as The Harley Truck, the Traylors displayed their multiple-award-winning '56 Ford F-100.26. For the entire show, Army Armstrong, the event's promoter, entertained everyone in attendance. A consummate professional with over 30 years of show promotions experience, Army educated and amused us all  As seen from on high, the...  As seen from on high, the Bowen's '72 Fleetside shows spot-on paint prep and panel fitment.  Marcia and Chad Gorczyca of...  Marcia and Chad Gorczyca of Dallas, TX, earned the Top Classic Truck billet trophy and $1,500 check for their House of Kolor Midnight Blue Pearl '50 Chevy pickup. Congratulations Gorczycas!  Proprietor of Smitty's Custom...  Proprietor of Smitty's Custom Automotive in Tiffin, OH, Chris Smith built both of these beautiful Bow Ties. At the end of the show, Chris took the $1,000 check for Top Truck Builder. Paul Hemminger of Tiffin, OH, owns the dark green '58 Fleetside on the right. We featured the truck in '04.  For their awesome '56 Ford...  For their awesome '56 Ford F-100 Harley Truck, the Traylors, Kevin and Susan of Greenville, VA, won the Top Truck award. Standing between Air Ride Technologies owners Sharon Voelkel (far left) and Brett Voelkel (far right) are The Harley Truck's owners Kevin and Susan Traylor. Don Jacks, owner of Street Metal Fabrications in Greenville, SC, built The Harley Truck. Well done, Mr. and Mrs. Traylor! And kudos to you too, Mr. Jacks!
