Old Friends, Older Trucks

This is one sweet '48 sporting a lot of brightwork, deep copper paint, and a great stance, and it is detailed to the max. The proud owners are Ron and Lynda Carpenter out of Battle Creek, MI.

Retired Myers Parker drove over from Iron City, TN, to show off his family-built in-the-weeds '48 Chevy Thrift Master pickup (CCT Winter '04). Mitsubishi Green paint, a cream-colored interior, wood bed, and American Torq-Thrust wheels make it all happen.

Larry and Glenda Cleary motored on over from Wilkesboro, NC, in their way-too-cool, red '35 Ford panel delivery.

Roy and Judy Dodd from Chattanooga, TN, have owned their '48 Ford F-1 since 1983. Rebuilt in 1989, they have logged over 60,000 miles in 15 years. They have been to Daytona Beach and back five times and are still having a blast.

Joe and Pam Beck cruised over from Mount Airy, NC, in their spotless '48 Chevy Bow Tie sporting a new set of Billet Specialties wheels.

Station wagons might be considered trucks, and we loved this longroof. Tom Schumans' Madison, AL-based '54 Ford two-door wagon rolls on American five-spokes and is powered by a Lincoln 5.0L Ford small-block.

This '46 Dodge pickup has been in the Randy Shipley family of Bristle, TN, since 1947. Now that's living up to the slogan "Ram Tough"!

This '47 Chevy pickup covered in Champaign Gold and dressed out in rally wheels with spinners and chrome-trim rings is one fine example of ultra-clean. The lucky owner is Larry Charles of Shepardsville, KY.
