As an example of perfect timing, the SEMA show takes place right before the winter holidays each year. Unlike the other shows we attend, where our mission is to seek out and shoot the nicest custom classic haulers, SEMA is like going to an all-things-automotive eye-candy store. There are certainly never-before-seen vintage trucks debuting at SEMA, which we'll be featuring in the coming months of CCT. For the most part, though, we visit SEMA to experience emerging trends, see old friends, recuperate from a busy year amidst the automotive nirvana, and to celebrate another successful culmination of the truck show season. In the case of CCT, what goes on in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. Our mission is to bring you the best of what we saw and experienced in words and photos.
Every prominent automotive aftermarket company, as well as the big three American automobile manufacturers and most international car companies, were showing off their newest and best for all the SEMA members. More innovative must-have hot rod components were on display. More people attended this year's event than ever before. There were seemingly even more Primedia employees, including new faces to us, from every automotive enthusiast magazine under the Primedia umbrella that were walking the aisles with the enthusiasm of kids on Christmas morning.
